Wow, Ed, that's the best one yet! You really have captured the feeling of being there. Great composition, too.

You rank right up there with Alan Bean-and he was there!

Beautiful job!

Very nice!
That long painting would be great as a door sized poster.

Ed:

I really like that painting. Well done!

If you hadn't called it "Exploring" I would call it "A Long Way From Home."

You really do make me feel like I am there. Great detail with the moon rocks too! How long did this one take you?
Which astronaut, if any, is this meant to be. Mission commander, judging by the red stripes. Great work. Can't wait to see more.

Thanks for the kind words, everybody.

As one of my friends noticed, I was shooting for a "generic moonwalker", but the astronaut has John Young written all over him. That is correct: I used an Apollo-16 photo for the astronaut.

This one was made in about three hours. I was just testing my new materials. But it turned out remarkably well, if I say so myself. I was very pleased with the result.

It seems like he is taking a picture of something he's holding.
The kind of rock is probably Moon Rock!

I wanted to let people know that I placed and updated a retrospective of Ed's work in my blog located at www.spacearttribute.blogspot.com .

Ed gave me an interview for the site. I included Ed's comments along with some of the works that I have picked up from him over the years.

I hope you enjoy it and Ed's paintings.

Thanks

Ed,

Your work is absolutely amazing! One of the best space artists of our time. Thank you, as always, for sharing the wonderful work.

And Larry -- that is an AMAZING tribute.

Thanks very much to Larry McGlynn for his excellent tribute. As I told him I feel proud to be mentioned in a group including Robert McCall, one of the people whose work is an inspiration for me.
