Hey guys, I know it's a bit off topic, but I wanted to share my wonderful news. After years of renting, We have finally bought our first house...Tonight is the first night in it...It is so wonderful. I never thought I'd see the day when we would finally be able to afford it instead of renting all the time!!! Owning your own home is the best!!!

Congrats! I remember when we first moved into our house. It felt like it took a week to walk from one end of the house to the other. And, I finally had a room to put my collection!

Congratulations!! There's nothing like owning your own home ... especially when you get to write it off the interest payments next year!!

I don't know how first time homeowners can afford it ... particularly in my neck of the woods, New England. The price of housing has gotten out of sight.

Enjoy it and all best wishes to you and your family!!

All right - House warming party for all CS members from all over the world, in Yukon, Oklahoma within the next few days ... <G,D,R> (Oklahoma has an interesting state code btw - I could as well have written down something like: OK, Yukon has a house warming party...) but I could resist ... .

So, HouseDadx4, just kidding !!! Very heartly congrats on your new OWN house. You should ask Robert to change your screen name into HOUSE_Dadx4, with capital letters !

And now you finally have some *Space* to stow your *Space*collection in ... <pun intended> <G>

All the very best and I wish you a tremendously great 20ish years at your new house !

Kirsten

Congratulations! My wife and I got our first one not all that long ago. I have read where financial experts say that getting a home is the single best thing someone can do to improve their personal finances. Besides, apartments have gotten so darned expensive that house payments are now less in many cases.

I am very happy for you!
