If you want the story just read the previous post on this site entitled, "Good Causes" that harrass and annoy... I gotta vent..." This person is still sending me a half dozen or emails a day, threatening me with defamation and stating that he is planning on damaging my reputation and will use my copyrighted artwork, etc.... all because I still refuse to send him a free MoonPrint sculpture. Is there an attorney here who would at least consult with me about this situation? Perhaps we could trade services. Please contact me off board. I have to put a stop to this harassment. I am at the end of my rope. Thanks in advance. ------------------ Visit my Studios Website at http://www.GerathsDesign.com |

I don't recall from the previous thread if this was someone people knew of or not. If this is someone known on the community I want to know who it is. Please post the name here. This kind of nonsense should be put out in the open. |

Robert asked me to not give out this persons name and I will not break that promise. Robert has been a fantastic host and if he says to jump, I ask how high. If you feel it is important you know than please contact me off forum and we can discuss it. All the best, Dana ------------------ Visit my Studios Website at http://www.GerathsDesign.com [This message has been edited by DGeraths (edited June 05, 2004).] |

Be sure to save everything this nut sends you, letters, emails, etc. It may come in handy later. I've had two employers in the past not pay up due vacation money and a few others not pay for art work I did for them. I eventually got every cent....because nobody liked to hear that I was going to notify the IRS of their business practices! It sounds like this guy wouldn't either! Maybe that would get him off your back long enough for you to bring about any charges against him. Just a thought, Rob[This message has been edited by Rob Joyner (edited June 05, 2004).] |

My wife is a district court judge in North Carolina, and of course, knows all kinds of attorneys. If it really does get to that point, feel free to contact me off-board and I'll do what I can. That said, North Carolina law pertaining to your situation may be different than in the state in which you live. We'll see, if need be. Also, I'm sorry you're having this trouble. That's what makes people SO hesitant to help others out these days ... getting taken advantage of. |

Just to clarify why I have asked Dana not to post the offender's name: it is not because I have any desire to protect or defend this individual. Quite to the contrary, I have also had problems with this individual that may someday need to be addressed legally. As such, I do not want to give this individual anything that might be used to retaliate against cS, however unlikely or unjustified. |
