During tonights episode of Enterprise, (yes, I admit... I watch it) there was a nice moment that made my wife and I smile. The plot is not really important, but in the episode the are met in space by another starship, the same class as them. As they try to figure out which ship it is... the first one they mention is.. The NX-2, Columbia. I thought it was a nice touch, and I think I will send them an email telling them that. Dana ------------------ Visit my Studios Website at http://www.GerathsDesign.com |

Yeah, I liked that, too. Of course, now I kind of hope they continue the trend, naming the NX-class vessels in order after the Orbiters. After all, Challenger deserves a tribute, too.------------------ http://www.hatbag.net/blog.html "America's challenge of today has forged man's destiny of tomorrow." - Commander Eugene Cernan, Apollo 17 Mission, 11 December 1972 |

We got into a little bit of discussion on this on another thread a few days, ago - see: http://collectspace.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000332.html It seems there was a USS Challenger in one of the series. FF | |
