I have asked this question before but my computer died soon after and I never was able to see a response. Do any of you remember shampoo in the shape of an Apollo CM? I know I had one when I was a little boy as I remember begging my mother for it when we went shopping. Then I wanted Tang, grew a bit more and wanted the cold meds Wally Schirra took, grew even more and let's just say that the "Do you remember me?" statement from Pete Conrad did not work in having my mother get me an American Express card. Is there a place where I can still find the Apollo CM shampoo? As well, do you remember these commercials as well as the ones for Eastern Airlines with Frank Borman? My favorite at the time was not astronaut based but one of the Harlem Globetrotters playing basketball on a 747. |

Hey Tim, I haven't thought about that in years! I remember having something similar, but it was a lunar module, not a CM. If memory serves, the shampoo bottle top was a small gray toy in the shape of a lunar module. I can't remember what the bottle itself even looked like. I think I might actually have it packed away somewhere because I don't think I would've thrown it away. I think maybe Avon made it. I also still have an Avon shampoo bottle in the shape of Charlie Brown. His ball cap comes off to reveal the bottle top! I'll try to find the LM and let you know if I do. Rob |

I've seen that shampoo somewhere. I forget exactly where it was, I think it may have been on Ebay.I have happy memories of eating those food-sticks things. Remember those things that came in the wrapper with the foil? They would roll up nicely into little brown balls before the young astronaut would then consume them - washed down with a glass of Tang.
