Hello,

For those of you who know him, Dr. James Busby is in the hospital in Los Angeles for a foot operation. He appologizes for not being in touch lately because of it and would appreciate being in your thoughts and prayers...

Jim is a wonderful guy, and a great asset to spaceflight history. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery from all who know him here at the Fleet.

I do not know Jim, but I wish him the best for a speedy recovery. Coincidentally, my mom had a left knee replacement today.

Jim is a long time colleague and friend, and most recently lead the effort to save artifacts from the former site of Rockwell Downey for a new educational center and museum. I expressed this privately through e-mail to Jake, but my thoughts are with him for a fast and full recovery.

Hope both patients are doing well and finding ways to keep occupied! As a veteran of foot surgery myself, I know how frustrating having to sit or lie still while you heal is! -C

Just talked to my Mom for the first time since her surgery. Y'all are so cool. Next time I talk to her I'll tell her about the good wishes.
Thank you!

Jim thanks everyone for their well wishes!! He was very touched!

Jim has been in the hospital now for over two weeks and is doing much better and hopefully will be able to come home soon. However, he does feel very disconnected from the world lately and misses his space updates.

Jim's normal email has been having some problems; he will have a new email address shortly. I will broadcast the new addy when it is available. If anyone needs to contact him by email in the meantime, please feel free to email him via rocket4@earthlink.net or rocket4321@yahoo.com and I will pass the emails to him.

All the Best!
Julie (and Jim) Busby
