Hi has anyone ever bought a 16x20 print from Ofoto or shutterfly? Just wondering how it turned out. I was thinking about buying Young saluting the flag (the jump pic).Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

They are both good photo companies, I think Kodak owns Ofoto.

What you need to be sure is that you have a high resolution photo to send to them.

I have used Ofoto and found them great.

But then I tried www.photoaccess.com

and found they are just as good and a lot cheaper. So I stick with them now. Plus they offer 11x14 which the others don't.

I have not, though, ordered 16x20. -Ben

For what it's worth I use Shutterfly. They use the Fuji Crystal Archive photo paper. That is good stuff.

I did do a 16"x20" of Earthrise on Ofoto once. When the Lovell signing came around I took a long hard look at my Ofoto pic and decided to go with the in stock pic at Novaspace. I thought the Fuji paper that Novaspace provided had richer colors. The Ofoto pic I had was a little but grayer. That could be due to many factors though.

8"to10"s for $2.49 instead of $3.99 as with ofoto - that is an important price difference indeed. What brand of photo papers do they use?

Already now, I'm only using ofoto when they have a 15% or 20% off promotion - $3.99 is just too outrageous, and the Kodak paper not the best on the market.

For most of my photo orders, however, I use a British company, because
- as being based in Europe, their deliveries come quicker;
- they grant reductions depending on the size of the order (you get them for 1.25 BPS if you order more than 20 at a time - PLUS eventual promotional activity);
- they use Fuji paper (better in my eyes).
Their website: www.photobox.co.uk

Any idea on what their shipping charges are? I don't see it listed on the site.

All times are CT (US)
