Thanks for pointing that out to me Danno. I had missed the FAQ. Here's a link to it:

Just when I thought I'd heard and seen everything, something like this comes along. You were right, Danno. What a rich source of humor!

Not a shread of evidence.

Not a bit of science. Just, "Hey, it looks like an animal, what else could it be?!?!?"

Not exactly a conclusion I would jump to....

It really made me want to make a fake site like it that would incorporate all the best of the best from the whacky world of moon-hoaxers and conspiracy nuts. I had a bunch of ideas....

Take care - Dan

Well I don't know about the rest of you but I'm sold. I'm sure this is a story we will be hearing quite a bit more about.

I think it might be the remains of an alien astronaut. He may have left other artifacts behind. This will open up all sorts of new fields of study!

Here is a photo of the "tail" or "butt" of the fossilized creature (formerly known as "Split Rock").

Note the two smaller attached blocks at the bottom left and right. These are most likely bottoms of foot-like appendages. Picture a resting elephant.

Another marvellous moment in the moon hoax debate - the lost footage: http://www.moontruth.com/clips/moontruth.mpg

And for those who like to sharpen their doubting faculties to a new height: http://www.revisionism.nl/Moon/The-Mad-Revisionist.htm

Cheers,
Matt
