My daughter Hannah sent her name to NASA some months back to be included on a CD which would go to Mars on one of the MERs.(along with thousands of other people!). She asked the question 'Have I gone yet?'.I said I didn't know but would ask. Does anyone know if this disc is on the rover already en-route or the one still to be launched? Thanks Steve |

There is a disc on each, and from what i have heard, they are identical..so if one fails, the other still has the same names. |

As far as I know - like Ben said - its on both .What I want to know is - where's my name on the Mars Polar Lander ended up :-)) I've put my name on a lot of these discs - since its for fun - and currently have name in-flight on Cassini Orbiter and Huygens Lander,Stardust,Mars Rovers 2003,Mars Polar Lander (wherever),Team Encounter Starship and Deep Space - which are the ones I can remember.
