Hello Space Fans, I sell Space Toys and of course collect what I sell. We are planning to manufacture our own line of products and I am investigating what exactly we should build. Right now the top terms searched for on our site (spacetoys.com) are Gemini and Mercury. Should we look into building something from that era or should we look into building Russian and International replica toys? What would you like to add to your collection? We also plan to launch spacecollecting.com early next year. What would you like to see there? Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. ------------------ Clear Skies, Greg Hancock http://www.spacetoys.com http://www.skyscopes.com |

I would like to see a D-558-2 wood model. There are X-15 wood models out there. Try www.uswings.com I have even seen an X-2 model, I forgot where right now. But, I have never seen a D-558-2 model. ------------------ Warm Regards Douglas Henry Enjoy yourself and have fun.... it is only a hobby! |

Models, as GI joe type, of astronauts (not space tourists) would keep you busy for years. Include cosmonauts, and female cosmo/astronauts of course. |

Thank you for feedback. This is exactly what I was looking for. From what I understand Dragon is making a Lunar Rover with the same detail as the New Apollo Astronaut we will be releasing next month. They have the experience to do it right since they have been making fantastically detailed military vehicles for years. Only time will tell here but hope is on the way. If sales on this new astronaut are what they are hoping for then they plan to make an entire space line. Right now we are leaning towards a Gemini capsule with docking Agena. Currently there is just nobody out there making anything even similar that I know of. Production takes about a year from drawings to prototype to production if you want quality. Please continue to post or send us suggestions as we will not decide for sure until the first of the year. With luck we may have something around the end of 2003. ------------------ Clear Skies, Greg Hancock http://www.spacetoys.com http://www.skyscopes.com |

Personally, I would like to see something along ther lines of the football mini-helmets. A small version of the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle helmets with a visor that moves up and down. That would be a terrific thing to get signed! |

Great idea!If you do anything from Mercury, please make sure that you do each individual spacecraft with its mission logo on the side. Naturaly you would want to collect all 6! : ) And if you do this please make sure that Freedom 7 has the 2 portholes instead of the single windows that the later ships had. If you want to honor Deke Slayton, it might be neat to find out what his mission logo would have been, and release it so that you could finally get to fly Deke's long cancelled Mercury flight. I believe it would have been called Delta 7. No idea what, if any mission logo was in the works. For Geminii, please make it, with both Agena's. There were 2 flown. It might also be neat to make a MOL, the military space station that was being designed for the Air Force to use with Project Geminii. But cancelled before it was manned. Natuarally a good Skylab. An Apollo Soyuz with docking module. For the Russian side of the coin, Vostok, Voshkod, The basic Salyut would also be desirable. Oh! What the heck! Just build it all! I don't think you need to build large quantities of everything. But, I think that if you use detail, quality, and a down to earth price, I think your shelves will be picked clean.
