Somewhere in the archives of this great forum, is a mention by a member who stated he was related to Mr. Entwistle's wife. Please forward all of our condolences to her in this moment of grief. ------------------ Best regards, Bob Runge |

Although off-topic, I find it difficult to believe that a majority of us were not touched in some way by the "Ox". He will surely be missed.Tom Edmonds |

It may have been me, though I don't ever remember mentioning it here on collectSPACE. My father is directly related to him (John Entwistle) by marriage. I never met John myself but have stayed with his parents - who live in Wales - many times over the years.I was shocked to see it on CNN.com last night and immediately called my dad. I am not sure if he intends to travel for the funeral, but I do know that he will be speaking with John's folks this evening. I'll pass your condolences along - I am sure that they will appreciate your kind words. Jonathan |

I was floored by the passing of John Entwistle . I was making plans to see The Who this August. Now there is an empty spot in my brain where John should be.The Who in general, and John Entwistle in particular were big influences on me when I first picked up the bass guitar over 20 years ago. For those not familiar wih John Entwistle or The Who you can visit his website at www.JohnEntwistle.com. My condolences to his family and friends. Respectfully, Bill uzzi69 [This message has been edited by uzzi69 (edited June 28, 2002).] |

John will truly be missed. The Who have always been one of my favorite bands and John's bass riffs are some of the best ever recorded. May Mr. Entwistle rest in peace. us fans will always have his music. Long Live Rock!!!! |
