Does anyone know if NASA is planning to hire anymore educator astronauts like Morgan, or is she the only one. I have a teacher friend who wants to apply.

Because the educator program is no longer separate from the mission specialist position, the application process is the same as for all candidates.

The next deadline for applications to be filed is July 1, 2001 (NASA astronauts are selected every two years).
