Atlantis was to fly the original STS-114 mission. After the STS-107 accident in 2003, Atlantis on MLP-3 was transferred from High Bay 3 to High Bay 1 to be demated and moved to the OPF.

STS-114 flew on Discovery in 2005.

Early Apollo-era images seem to indicate that ML-1 was the last Mobile Launcher completed, not the first.
