HiI wonder if anyone could point me to a copy of the photo that shows the three Apollo 12 wives with their 'proud, thrilled, happy' cards? I've never seen it. Thanks Paul, UK |

While searching I found this caption:Astronauts Wives Holding Up Signs Supporting Their Husbands Original caption: Nassau Bay, Texas: Wearing identical pantsuits and carrying signs reading, Proud, Thrilled, Happy, the wives of the three Apollo 12 crewmen meet the press following successful return to the command module in lunar orbit of the lunar lander. Left to right: Mrs. Alan (Sue ) Bean, Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Gordon, and Mrs. Charles (Jane) Conrad. They carried the signs to answer newsmen's questions as to how they felt about the mission. |

I know Pete Conrad and his wife divorced, didn't the same apply to the Bean's? Are the Gordons still married? |

I dunno--but they all look darling in this photograph. Especially Mrs. Conrad. |

I gotta say, one of my favorite pictures! And I do know that the Alan Bean did divorce, however, I am not sure about the Gordons'.... And no, I'm not dyslexic, I got my user name from "Apollo 13", where Mary Haise and Marilyn Lovell are talking to reporters. |

Barbara Gordon was Dick's first wife; Jane was Pete Conrad's first wife and Sue Bean was Alan's first wife. All have since remarried. |

If I remember correctly, the only Apollo crew in which all 3 crew members have not divorced or separated is Apollo 8.[This message has been edited by Tom (edited July 20, 2006).] |

So which Mercury and Gemini crews remain(ed) together? I know, but I'm an expert on the subject. |
