If this seller's info is accurate, then up for sale on Hemmings is the only Airstream vehicle used by NASA that has been released by surplus sale, and that was by accident. He is now looking to sell it for $199,000.
"We didn't know what we were selling!" were the first words out of her mouth. "We didn't advertise it or offer it up to museums, the phone has exploded. Nobody told us what it was!"
I bought the NASA 025 Command Vehicle...
I was called by Samantha Martin, the then head of the museum group at Airstream, and a private contractor working to make the next crew vehicle for NASA. They informed me that this was in there words, "the only NASA Airstream ever sold," and the others were all crushed or in museums.
