Due to a recent health scare I decided to get rid of all my non collection items. I have nearly 200 items:

United Launch Alliance (ULA), NASA Launch Services Program (LSP), Boeing coins(104), flown melted metal medals and miscellaneous coins (75+), including two unflown Robbins and some flown items not essential to my collections.

I was going to sell these but to much hassle so I decided to donate everything. Looking for some opinions on who to donate to. Any help would be appreciated.

The American Space Museum in Titusville, Florida is always appreciative of any donations.

So sorry to hear this Tim! I hope you are doing better now! Over the years have really appreciated all your help and knowledge about the coins!

I would put in a recommendation for Chuck and his museum. It would def. give you the biggest bang for your buck.

Good luck and health!

The American Space Museum is a great choice.

Just to add some other options:

  • Astronaut Scholarship Foundation — they hold seasonal auctions with the funds supporting undergraduates excelling in STEM majors.

  • The U.S. Space Camp Hall of Fame — they hold an annual auction with funds underwriting merit-based scholarships to send students to Space Camp.

  • Space Hipsters — they hold periodic memorabilia giveaways that serve as fundraisers for Taking Up Space, a non-profit empowering middle-school-age Native American girls by sending them to Space Camp.

  • The Space Museum and Grissom Center (Bonne Terre, Missouri) — I don't know if they hold any sales, but this might be an option for a donation for display/exhibition.

  • Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum - Another possible display donation option, as they might be interested in the Cape-related launch coins for the Sands Space History Center.

All times are CT (US)
