I could use some info on the pin below. It was in a lot of pins that I recently purchased. I was told that this was from a series of badges called "Conquerors of Space." I do know that there were two versions of this pin. One has a white border, and the other one was black like this. From what I could tell, based on a web search, the white version is pretty common. I was told that this black version was awarded to cosmonauts who participated in the program as well as other officials and people who worked on the program. Does anyone know how rare this version is? Does it have any value? Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The pins/badges of these sets were often made in the thousands. This has the screw type backing and is heavier and better quality than those pins that were sold everywhere with the safety pin type backing. Its value I would estimate in the $25 to $50 range. | |
