This is an Apollo 17 Lunar Module ID plate that belonged to my late father-in-law. Made of metal and the writing is not engraved. Has a strip of tape marked 3M on the back.
The plate measures about 1.75 by 5.25 inches. Would anyone know what this is (likely a replica)?
I can find nothing on the internet regarding reproductions. Any help would be much appreciated.

In my opinion, these are screenprinted reproductions.

Thanks for the information. Would they have been produced by an individual for personal use? I can't find anything on the internet about replicas.

That is fantastic - now you just need a Lunar Module to attach to it, and you’re all set.

I don't know, probably a personal project.

Seems like a lot of trouble to go to but I guess if you have access to the right equipment you can make your own. At any rate, seeing that they are nearly impossible to find either for sale or sold I wonder what the value might be? Any input would be appreciated.

Screenprinting is not difficult and/or expensive. Value is subjective. A few bucks?
