I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of more NASA imagery resources online? I have a crew-signed shot of STS-27 that I want to frame and would like add small photos around it celebrating its successfully-avoided, nearly fatal result. A Google search doesn't seem to yield many results. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. |

I would suggest doing a "STS-27" search on flickr or images.nasa.gov. On Flickr the NASA Johnson account has an album dedicated to STS-27. |

I would also suggest PICRYL, which bills itself as the largest media source for public domain images. Though it can be hit and miss, I have found it to be a unique source of space shuttle imagery that is not available through NASA's websites. Granted, a lot of it can be Earth imagery, but there is a good amount of crew and payload photos, too. Downloading is free, up until the highest resolution scans, which require a mandatory donation (at an amount you set). For STS-27, try searching: #sts+27 |

Thanks, Robert - a lot of pics there! I wonder if the classified nature of this mission resulted in fewer photos than many other missions... |
