I have a number of uninscribed Apollo era pictures and a Beta cloth patch I'm considering for sale. Anyone have any experience with consignment on some of the popular space auction venues?
  • Neil Armstrong - WSS (black felt tip)
  • Charles Conrad - with flag (gold pen)
  • Charles Conrad - with Surveyor (blue Sharpie)
  • Multiple Alexei Leonov spacewalk pics - signed and dated
  • ASTP Beta cloth patch - Thomas Stafford signed
I welcome any advice or insight you may have.

The American Space Museum is always seeking consignments for our charity auctions.

Our consignments fees are very reasonable, all the money from those fees go to keep the American Space Museum operating we are a 501(c)3 non profit and we have a great international following with our auctions. Please check out our past auctions.

RR Auction, Bonhams, Nate Sanders and Lunar Legacies are all legit auctions. The people who treated me poorly were from Heritage.

After explaining what I had over the phone, I sent them 27 rare artifacts from models, Bean prints, Rasmussen Naval Aviation in Space and more to sell. Their estimates for Bean's Apollo 14 crew signed print with all the original packaging was $300. The Rasmussen was $500, early MOL, NAA large X-15 owned by Mike Adams and LM contractor models were $100-200.

I asked for them to send everything back because their estimates were insulting and it was obvious who looked at my stuff didn't have a clue what they were looking at.

When I received everything back 2 weeks later, just about every model was damaged and some of the prints were so poorly packed that they were bent in transit. Never trust Heritage because they will cancel your account and then not return any calls.

All times are CT (US)
