I have inherited a family collection of space memorabilia that includes a selection of photos and signatures, and articles about "the boys from Sauerkraut Hill." I have autographs of Wernher von Braun, Dieter Huzel and Mrs. Robert Goddard. I have many articles regarding rocketry. Is there interest from collectors on this topic? Is this considered "early space"? |

Yes, from my own interest, very much so. Can you post some images of the signatures, especially Wernher von Braun? Besides von Braun, rocket engineer and author Huzel, and Mrs. Goddard, were there any other signatures included? |

That grouping appears to be mostly post-WWII material which marked the beginning of people taking rocketry seriously. A few experimenters and science fiction writers had been predicting space travel for some time by then. So, "early modern space era." And yes, besides the autograph market; there are people who collect paper ephemera related to space exploration going back 100 years or so. Dr. Goddard's first publicized liquid fueled rocket launch was in 1926. He passed away in 1945. |
