Disregarding the ridiculous asking price, does anyone know what those crossed pieces in the top part of this Apollo 11 lucite actually are? |

Fuses?I’m also curious about what the dark lump below is claimed to be. The auction title and description certainly leave things open to interpretation. Not quite seeing the $17.5K ask! |

According to the oddly worded post, the dark lump would be a piece of the heat shield. |

Yes, well, I did say 'open to interpretation' "Apollo 11 Space, NASA, Material, shield, heat, shuttle, anniversary, artifact" are just listing bait catch-all words to me (shuttle?!). "contains a piece of metal / rock, as well as a component from the space craft, from the Apollo 11 moon mission" is the extent of direct description. No claim of heat shield inside but could be. Props for the fire effect of the heat-shield-side acrylic pour. | |
