Yes, well, if you read the description it only guarantees that it's hand signed. Horrible. |

I've had a look at some of his other hand signed photos. Look very bad to me. James Lovell, Frank Borman, Jim McDivitt and Fred Haise. |

I sent a note to the seller stating that these autographs look wrong. I got this reply: I got 4 back from John, these 2 6x4 and 2 x 8x10 which are not for sale but can be seen on my Facebook page guysautographs. Oh well. |

For some reason, this listing irked me enough to report it to eBay (for what its worth), which I don't normally bother to do any longer. The seller's reply to the email is pretty brazen and obnoxious. |

I looked at his Facebook page. He has these two Anders posted. I am no expert, but they do look quite good. Though I know how Anders is, which makes me question them. The majority on the FB page look legit, while the eBay listings not so much.

I looked at some of the other astronaut signed items this chap was selling, the majority were suspect or down right wrong. Even if he has one or two that may be authentic, the seller's brazen attitude discredits the lot in my opinion and renders any certification of authenticity worthless. |

Well he must have read some of these comments because now he has nothing for sale on eBay. |

I wrote to him yesterday. Probably buckled under the collective pressure. |

I messaged him when he said he received the Anders. He said something along the lines that he couldn't disclose the address as he had been trying for 10 years. I noticed he posted a lot of time getting back Lovell. I really don't know what to think of this guy. |

I've been to Bill Anders' home near San Diego (and won't disclose the address) and after lunch he signed and personalised two photos and a copy of "In the Shadow of the Moon" for me, but on the strict admonition that he never saw them up for sale on eBay or similar. This guy allegedly spent 10 years trying to get Bill to sign a couple of things through the mail (which he doesn't do), and then puts them up for sale? Yeah, right! |

The store is visible here. Check out this Charlie Duke signed photo.Everything on the site signed on small (i.e. cheap to print) photos with the same thick black sharpie (thick pens are more forgiving) or occasionally gold pen, and priced way below the normal going rate. Basically a factory. And yes, some stuff posted on the Facebook page appears real. From the inscriptions it looks like he writes to celebrities with a moving personal story about himself and his wife to elicit a signed photo in response. |

Just because you have had a "real" signed photo (or picture of one being signed), doesn't mean the rest are not fakes. Unfortunately see this way too often — have a photo of a signing, but then make 10-20 fakes and use that photo as "real." |

Just saw the first few pages of his website, and I must say, I don't like the signed photos that I saw of Lovell, Duke, Borman, Schweickart, Mitchell, and even McDivitt that I can recall...all done by the same hand it looks to me! |

Not only is it the same hand, it's the same 6 year old hand. How is this guy allowed to stay on eBay? |

How many people with the name of "John Young" are living in the US and other English speaking countries? Probably hundreds of thousands. So I wouldn't exclude it is the genuine autograph of some John Young somewhere...
