I'm looking to find an Apollo 11 launch pass (used). There are some online but often unused or overpriced. What is the going rate for one with the plastic case and clip? |

If still needed, I do have used Apollo 11 VIP launch badges of both the blue and gray printed versions. |

I believe the blue pass was an Apollo 11 viewing pass and the grey was to the VIP viewing area. |

Actually, Chuck, the blue printed badges were for the elite guests or top VIPs. About 5,000 of them were issued for the special viewing site on the north-eastern side of the VAB. Overall, the 5K number accommodated enough bleachers that had been arranged in a fan shape into four group sections that extended from north of the VAB around to the Mobile Launcher park site. The rest of the VIPs were strung out all the way up to the VAB from different areas. These were the gray-colored badges of which more than 5,000 had been issued by NASA. Originally 10,000+ VIP-type badges were printed for the historic liftoff of man's first lunar landing. There were extra badges produced, however, not all of them had been used on the launch day and with low and high numbers all mixed within. In answer to our Australian friend that started this topic, at the moment, I do have an extra "gray" VIP badge in very good condition with its original clear plastic holder and clip. I am trying to locate an extra "blue" badge version, but am having some difficulty in finding an extra(s) that I know are here somewhere. Email me if interested and thanks for starting the topic.

Thank you Ken, Always informative. I do have an extra UN-used grey badge with a low number from the collection of Arnold Richman who retained several of the extra badges after the mission. These did not have the clear holders with clips. |
