Could this autograph be real? Any ideas?

I need to declare that I am most familiar with astronauts that flew prior to shuttle, however it doesn’t show the usual autopen marks and is inscribed in same writing. I am sure, those in the group who are much more qualified will give you a more definitive opinion.

Yes indeed, Dirk, as this appears to be an early astronaut signature of hers when selected to the NASA astronaut corps for training in 1996-98. Note that she signed "BS" in the middle that refers to "Blair Salton." Later on when signing so many autographs, Dr. Clark had shorten her signature to "Laurel Clark." Unfortunately, STS-107 had been her only spaceflight assignment when Columbia had been lost with her crew in Jan. 2003.
