I'm interested in hearing opinions on the current value of Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) artifact lucites, i.e. what should I expect to pay if I was interested in purchasing one?

The lucites I have observed over the past year have varied between $100 to around $400, depending on whether it is a block or cylinder lucite.

Besides the ASF one produced a few years ago, what other examples are out there?

I have seen a Kapton foil "puck" Lucite for the ASTP project. One is currently on eBay as a bin now.

In 2011, the ASF three-piece Lucite set ($799 for set) had a heat shield Lucite from Vance Brand.

Also seen a separate Lucite, usually signed By Brand of a heatshield Lucite.

I've seen a multi colored wire segment embedded in a 3 inch Lucite puck with both crews names/mission data engraved on the bottom.

I have the following ASTP Flown Artifact Lucites:
  1. 'Official NASA' Large Cylindrical Lucite with Heatshield Plug.
  2. Privately-made 'Hockey Puck' Lucite with Kapton Foil.
  3. 'Official NASA' Short Cylindrical Lucite with section of wires.
  4. Astronaut Scholarship Foundation 'Shaved Cylinder' Lucite with Heatshield Fragment(s).
  5. Stafford Air & Space Museum 'Shaved Cylinder' Lucite with Kapton Foil.
I've seen the Stafford Air & Space Museum Lucite only once, and that was on eBay (where I bought it). It looks like the other 'shaved cylinder' lucites with the mission emblem on the bottom.

I have seen two versions of the wire segment presentation, one with wires and connector and the other with wires only.

The connector has five pins, one for each colored wire (yellow, green, blue, red, and brown) and is stamped: 7438D Deutsch 127-3-9P

All times are CT (US)
