A friend of mine has inherited a complete set of Apollo patches from a relative that worked at NASA in Greenbelt, MD. They are presented in a frame under glass.

As a novice, if these were indeed original vintage patches, like to know the approximate value for insurance purposes.

It needs to be verified first, so a picture would help ascertain if they're run of the mill or otherwise.

If it is indeed a complete set that would be an amazing collection. I have been working on mine for a number of years and I am still missing the Apollo 15 crew patch.

Could you take a photograph of the collection and post it here? I would love to see it.

A complete set of vintage regular AB Emblem 4" patches from the time would be worth maybe $5 to $15 per patch (less if mounted). If there are a few of the rare crew varieties in there then the value will be higher.

If you post a picture or a link to a picture we can tell you what you have.

With the assistance of a friend and other sources, I have been able to assemble this collection of Apollo "Crew" patches with the exception of missing an Apollo 1 and Apollo 12 (any variant).

The assembled collection includes:

  • Apollo 7 crew
  • Apollo 8 crew souvenir (Texas Art)
  • Apollo 9 variant crew
  • Apollo 10 Grumman and Post crew
  • Apollo 11 BIGs
  • Apollo 13 crew
  • Apollo 14 crew souvenir
  • Apollo 15 "Silver Thread" and hallmark black stylized "E"
  • Apollo 16 crew (darker grey)
  • Apollo 17 white eagle along with EC and RE personal
