Eek! Just when I thought the concept of Autopen signatures was becoming pretty widespread I see that this Apollo 11 party invite and program with crew 'autographs' sold for $1,613.88.

As new collectors and enthusiasts come along this sort of thing will continue. That's a lot of money.

I cringed. Was also reminded of the value of this community — and your website Chris for raising my own awareness years ago.

The event was more of a luncheon banquet than party, but I always get a kick out of the USGS attendee's summary of how decorum unraveled as real autographs were being sought (see 8-12-2014 post).
