I recently picked up a first edition/print hardbound copy of Frank Borman's "Countdown." It has good provenance and I am certain it is authentic. However I am considering adding a rider on my insurance policy to cover some of my more valuable items in my collection.
Does anyone have a guess as to the value of this book? I know what I paid really don't know if I paid too much or too little. (I knew I wanted it it, so I pulled the trigger on an impulse purchase without worrying about it!)

I think it depends on if it's personalized, how and where in the book it's signed and how much you paid for it.
Since it's Bormans biography and not an Apollo 8 book, I would think that would affect the value. If it's personalized I wouldn't say more than $3-500. I honestly wouldn't put an unpersonalized one at much more than 500-750 but depending on appearance it could go for more than that. Difficult to guess without pictures and the whole story.

I saw the same book on Abebooks and passed because, as Jason says, it is Borman's autobiography. I sold a copy of "Genesis: The Story of Apollo 8" by Zimmerman, signed, uninscribed by all three for just shy of $850 including premium two years ago. (I still have a second copy). So I'd say about $500 for this copy of "Countdown" would be about right.
