I saw this item on eBay 302164917442 and was wondering if anyone had ever run across a counterfeit Robbins Medallion? Not saying this is one, but it just looked funny.
Maybe it was just in bad shape, but the "letter of authentication" is so amateurish and it is from a charity auction, which is where a lot of fake items get sold. Add that to the fact the seller had 0 feedback and it seemed very fishy to me.

Counterfeiting struct metals (medallions and coins) is hard to pull off. Especially with the amount of detail in the Apollo medallions. Even if you cast the die from an original, there are going to be errors that become discernable.
I was looking at this one closely and compared it to the images of other Apollo 14 Robbins medallions (mostly from HA) and there were no red flags for me on the medallion itself. The struct number is within the range of the flown ones too.
I think the biggest risk here is the eBay seller with 0 feedback. If the final buyer receives what is pictured, it looks like they got a great deal.

I also noticed this before bidding ended, but did not bid. It looked perfectly fine to me also — that said, I did also notice the 0 feedback score and was skeptical.
I would proceed with caution if you purchased it (take pictures of the box, unopened when it arrives or record yourself opening it) just in case the box arrives empty. That way you can claim the money back via PayPal.
