My wife purchased this item as a gift to me.

The presentation is nice, but I'm highly skeptical of the COA. I will try and post a pic, but it basically says that the foil "was acquired from a NASA Engineer who was allowed to keep the foil and later sold it." The COA is signed by "Edward Humphreys, Century Concept International Inc." Not much info out there about him. Any opinions on the validity of this? Thanks in advance.

(I have purchased many items from Sporty's over the years, and they have a good reputation as well as a 30 day money back guarantee. So there's that.)

Though I haven't seen this presentation before, I am familiar with Ed Humphreys.

He was previously with Toys and Models Corp., which produces most of the wooden desktop spacecraft and rocket models sold at NASA visitor center and museum gift shops. He has also produced framed artifact displays, not dissimilar from this one, for the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex's Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit.

I can't attest to the provenance of the Apollo 11 kapton in this display (or even if he produced this frame set and it is not just his COA being reused), but Humphreys is not an unknown entity.

If I recall, Ed's CM-107 Kapton framed presentation may had come from my own Apollo 11 Kapton collections many years ago.
