Has anyone seen anything like this in the past? It came from the estate of a former NASA employee. I'm pretty sure the employee worked primarily during the early portion of the space shuttle days so this and the majority of the other items focused solely on the shuttle. However, this was among the collection. Many of the items seemed to be pieces that hung on an office wall, so could this be something that NASA produced? It appears to be in pretty good shape and possibly made of wood. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! |

As best as I am aware, they were sold as a memento at the Cape in the in the mid-70s (you sometimes see them advertised as dating back to the early 60s but that would be impossible given the inclusion of missions up to Apollo 17). It would be great if someone knew its full history, as they pop up on eBay from time to time. |

I've seen those Mercury logos before, as though they were available through Kellogg's, although I could be mistaken. |

I've owned several, Generally the colors are beginning to fade and the plastic sometimes is starting to show signs of cracking. They are kind of neat. I have seen an earlier version that may have had only Mercury and Gemini missions, but I can't be sure what the cutoff was. |

I have one and they are neat. There are three on eBay now by just putting in mission logo, from BIN $45 to $100. |

I have one of these displays that's brand new in the box with perfect colors. These were put out by MARAE Inc. in Ohio in mid 1972 before the Apollo 17 mission. It also comes with a 12 page booklet that describe the costs of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs and a short description of each mission. It's a great display, I love the bold colors and layout. |

It would be neat to reproduce those Mercury artworks as actual patches, with proper approval of course. They are really nicely done. Ditto for those old Kellogg's stickers. |

I saw one like this 30 years ago at a flea market. It was only Gemini mission insignia. It was really cool. I didn't have any place to put it so passed it by. And I'm still wishing I had grabbed it. |
