I have for sale now on eBay (item 201421303916) a card containing the autographs of all "Original 7 Mercury Astronauts." I am lacking, admittedly, in specific provenience to back up the authenticity. I know there are terrific autograph experts who are members here. Could any out there take a look at the piece and give me their honest opinion. Thanks in advance. |

A-OK. You don't especially need provenance with such a solid item. Excellent framed presentation. |

I agree. Even the most expert of forgers could not get all seven signatures so right, and in my honest opinion it is completely genuine. |

Thanks very much guys for taking the time to look up the item and giving your expert appraisal. I must be honest. I knew the autographs were authentic when I posted this, however with a lack of documentation and me being the seller my opinion was rightly subject to question by any buyer. Your valued opinions should put to rest any doubt as to the authenticity going forward. |

You have some very knowledgeable people giving you great and worthy advice here. Would it not be prudent for you to send the autographs for authentication from recognized experts such as PSA or Steve Zarelli? The auction houses all use these folks who stand behind their certificates. A certificate from them authenticating the signatures as 100% goes a long ways to instilling confidence to a buyer willing to shell out $4400.00.I just recently acquired a Virgil Grissom and Alan Shepard signature piece which is currently being looked at by Steve Zarelli. I really don't intend on selling it, but when or if I do, Steve's authentication gives it instant credibility to a potential buyer. The best part is the authentication stays with the piece for the life of the item for all the owners down the road. A small investment which I believe will increase and hold the value of the piece for you and future owners. |

I would go with Steve Zarelli. I have seen many obvious secretarials/forgeries "authenticated" by PSA/DNA and when buying I don't put any stock in that certification. Just my opinion. |

I concur with calcheyup. Steve Zarelli is the reigning go-to guy on space-related signatures.Great piece, by the way. |
