I recently received a letter from school with an "autograph" from Mr. Aldrin. Could someone please tell me if it's real or autopen? Thank you.

Is this a letter from the National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists?
It is not an autopen signature. Is the letter's content specific to you or could it be a form letter?

Yes that is what it's from and it seems like a form letter where little things were changed to fit me.

In that case, it could be real, or it could be a pre-print (printed with the letter). If you have access to a magnifying glass, you might look to see if the ink is layered (such as where the signature crosses itself).

Looks fine to me. Aldrin's signature has become a bit jagged (like this) in recent years...
