During a Goodwill Tour stop in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (detailed a bit here) the Apollo 11 crew were seemingly gifted a ~3"x6" silver plaque:
The engraving reads:
"Homenagem dos Escoteiros da Guanabara aos conquistadores da Lua"
It translates loosely (I think?) as:
"Homage from the Guanabara Boy Scouts to the conquerers of the Moon"
The October, 2 1969 date aligns with the crew's stop in Rio and Guanabara is a region of that city.
Does anyone have a record of the crew's interactions with the Boy Scouts during the tour's Rio stop or otherwise know more about the event behind the plaque?
Thanks. I just couldn't turn up much.

Retro Space Images (J.L.) has shared these two photos, which are believed to be from this same event:

Thank you J.L.! cS never fails to amaze with help and knowledge, and much appreciated.
I suspect the plaque was given to the crew but retained by Public Affairs since the presentation couldn't be split among the three. They probably accumulated a lot of such things as they circled the globe.
