Hello all! I'm trying to pin an insurance value on a blanket (picture below). It's royal blue and cream, depicting an artists impression of the Apollo 11 first step. I've not had any luck finding anything similar. It was manufactured in "Western Germany". You can see the makers tag below as well.

Any input from you folks would be greatly appreciated!

I must admit, from the topic heading I at first thought the item in question was a flown Apollo 11 blanket of some kind(!!)

As is, the blanket pictured looks clean and cozy, but with a value I'd estimate at $20-$50 (possibly more if a few bidders end up fighting over it).

For insurance purposes, I would conservatively appraise it higher, between $100 and $200.

As vintage memorabilia, this blanket crosses into several collectible markets and while it might not be as highly-prized among space memorabilia collectors, there are others who have and will continue to value items like this for more.

Thanks to you both! I think I will likely value it around the $100 mark. It's certainly unique, and while I don't know much about the blanket collectors market, I suppose it would be an interesting facet to add to a textiles collection.

And sorry about the misleading title, it was unintentional. I will be sure to pop "memorabilia" in there for an item like this in the future. It's not a good day if I don't learn a new lesson!

Cheers and thanks again!
