Could anyone tell me what they think of the autograph on this Anders litho? It doesn't match any autopen patterns, but there are a couple of things that make me want others' opinions. I bought it in a collection of other autographs I am more confident about. As you can see, it came with a note from his time at the NRC, which indicates that an autograph request was sent there. |

It's an autopen, no trail-off, dots at end of stroke. |

Those two features are what concerned me, but I can't find any mention of that signature as an autopen on any of the reliable online resources, such as this one.

Autopen signatures do not have to exactly match .... There are many variations in size and shape based on factors such as item sized, type of pen, item "shifts" while machine is signing, etc.That's why you have to look at the patterns as a guide but also the charateristics of the signature itself as note above. | |
