I have been looking for a crew signed Apollo 16 piece for a long time now at a price I can afford. At the obvious risk of losing it: item 160549923357, no bids yet, am I missing something? Should I bid on it? Thanks guys. |

I have been watching it this week and dont like it. First it is signed on the matting not on the picture. The Young and Duke have strong traits of autopen. I am not sure of the Mattingly. Also the seller offers no return so if you get it and find they are not real you have to fight through ebay to get your money back I do hope others comment on this as I am too new to this to make a good informed decision. Thats why I have stayed away from it. |

Thanks Fred. I will stay away too for the same reason. I am in too much doubt and need the sleep now. |

Perhaps pointlessly, I'll say too late that the autographs looked fine to me. None of them were close to any autopen pattern. For example, Duke had two known ones. One included "Jr.", which this signature did not, and on the other a loop in "Duke"'s D went way back to the h in "Charlie", which did not happen on this one. Also, on the Mattingly you can see where he sped up his writing on certain long strokes, which an autopen doesn't do. I can understand wanting the autographs directly on the photo and not on the mat, and "No Returns Accepted" is a turnoff. But I think someone got a deal at $156. |

Okay, the time difference with us here in Europe decided against me having a shot at it. I am happy for the other person though. Hope he/she will enjoy it as much as I would have done. |
