I was looking at this photo of James Irwin up for sale and noticing the two X marks on the photo at the signature. I was wondering if these might be positioning marks for an autopen. This signature is not on any of the autopen guides currently out there.
The thing that has piqued my curiosity about this photo was the X marks. I have been looking on eBay and other sites and have found this same photo being sold by various sellers with the same inscription. It appears the method of writing the inscription and the signatures are virtually the same on them all. eBay has at least two on there now.

The inscription is preprinted on the litho, but the signature itself is normally genuine/handwritten. These "His Love..." signed lithos are relatively common, and I'd be very surprised if this is an autopen. The "x's" that you're referring to are from the Reseau plate on the Hasselblad EDC. You'll see these on all lunar surface photos.
