I've had an interest in the famous Sieger postal covers from Apollo 15 for some time now. They don't seem to appear at auctions very often considering the number of them that should be out there somewhere.Does anyone have a realistic idea of what their current fair market value might be at the moment? I read the very informative cS posting about the covers by Howard Weinberger and it listed their approximate value as $7500, but that article is pretty old at this point. Any information is appreciated.

I think the last sale of one of these covers was in the $18,000 range. |

Florian,Are those covers being sold in Europe of the batch of 100 actual "Sieger" covers, or part of the 300 or so similar covers from the A15 crew? Michael |

Both versions are sold here, particularly in Germany. The "common" ones of the 400 series are selling at around 5000 Euro ($7000) and the Sieger ones seems to fetch a little premium - around $8000-$10000. They are more rarely offered, of course, compared the official series. |
