Back in the fall of 2002 I received a STS-107 signed photo when I wrote to each member of the crew. I compared the signatures to autopenned examples I have seen and they neither match those nor do they have the characteristic shakiness that an autopen has. So, I'm certain that they are authentic. Also, I believe the photo was inscribed to me by Willie McCool as the inscription reads "To Richie - With Best Wishes!" and that matches my McCool signed litho in both text and handwriting.I have looked on and off to see what these STS-107 crew photos sell for online but haven't had much luck. I have NO interest in selling it (and I mean 0), but I have always wondered what they go for. If anyone knows I'd be interested in finding out. Also, are McCool inscribed photos hard to find or common? The reason I ask is because the others I have seen images of were inscribed by someone else. For inscription comparison purposes, here is the McCool pic as well. |

Richie,There is an STS-107 crew signed photo on Astro-Auction that is selling for about $5,000 or $6,000 instant purchase and no one has bought it (it has been up for quite some time). I would assume that they go for about $4,000. I hope this helps. -R |
