A Neil Armstrong Signature Authenticating (NASA) service is a good idea, Kevin, but I'm not sure I know anyone brave enough to get involved in such. But there was someone brave and concerned enough some years ago who actually created and ran an astronaut autograph authenticating service. It was called "Valuesign" and Russ Still ran it for several years and Valuesign was a real benefit and asset to the astronaut autograph collecting community. But he received such criticism and even threats of lawsuits from some sellers of autographs he questioned, that he gave up. It was a loss to our hobby, and such a service would be even more needed now than it was back around 2000.

Its reassuring isn't it that in our hobby those willing to authenticate items get it in the neck from the dealers.

I mean, what most of those guys REALLY care about is their bottom-line... so if someone is slating their material all it really shows is they aren't quite so clued up as THEY thought they were and they don't care as long as they don't lose out.
