I can't find any info on award plaques that were handed out to members of the launch team. My great uncle gave me 3 plaques, a gold tie pin that says Apollo 15 launch team, and a silver pin that looks like a landing module. He was a civilian draftsman out of Baltimore. The army corp. contracted him to work on the Apollo missions. The plaques are 2 5/8 in. by 3 5/8 in. mounted on wood. They look like the ones that were left on the moon but only smaller. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I also have pics if anyone wants to see I could e-mail them. Thanks... Jay

I think you will find that there are all sorts of different awards, plaques, and certificates that were handed out. My father worked for Bendix on a couple of the tracking stations during the Apollo years. He has certificates and plaques that range from something that looks like it was printed for a junior high school award ceremony to very elaborate books with photos. Whatever you have, keep them, cherish them, and pass them down through your family. They are worth far more than signed photos in my opinion.
