Hopefully I will benefit from the collective wisdom of this group. I am thinking about selling a piece that contains the signatures of Orville and Wilbur Wright. Each is separate (i.e. not on same paper) and cut from other documents. They are part of a matted presentation piece that also includes a photo of the historic first flight. The signatures are set side-by-side in cut-outs below the photo. The "Orville" signature is clear and crisp. The “Wilbur” is weaker and faded but clearly legible. I have no idea how to value the piece for sale. Any feedback and advice from the group would be greatly appreciated. In my head I have it somewhere in the vicinity of $1500. I’m not even sure if there’s a market for this. Thanks in advance for the feedback. -Steve |

I'd take a look at the Auction Archives on the R&R web site (rrauction.com). They frequently have Wright brothers pieces (checks, cut signatures, an occasional signed photo) - you might get some idea there. | |
