Is it me, or is this and other offerings from this seller generating a lot of bids for items that seem like autopens?

The Grissom item and the title written by the "collector" appears to be similar style of handwriting.

The Armstrong and Schirra sigs are autopens. I have no doubt that the Grissom sig is not authentic.

I agree with Scott.

The Grissom is most likely a forgery and possibly written by the same person that wrote at the top of the paper.

The seller ("tnard") was contacted about his astronaut autopens and forgeries, but with no response and the auctions continuing. By my count, he sold almost $1,000 worth of autopens, and forgeries of Grissom and Shepard (not even a secretarial). A fair number of different bidders went for these, but at least two got authentic signatures of Glenn and Carpenter.

A NASA letter signed by McDivitt and White went for $208 and may possibly be genuine, though, but the cards with it are autopens. The Grissom fake went for $280.

The seller may not have realized his mistakes and hopefully may now be in the process of making things right.

Apparently not... check out 310026729213, Armstrong autopen sold for $532.22.

Somebody's going to be very unhappy when they find out that a sheet of paper with an autopen sig is probably worth about $5...
