In AstroAuctions there is an item I would like some information on. The item is a "NASA Apollo 11 Mission Report". Was this report used before, during or after the Apollo 11 mission? Any other information would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave |

Sorry I didn't see the info request sooner. After each mission the Apollo Program Office issued a very technical post-mission report, usually concentrating on the spacecraft and its performance. These usually got issued within a few weeks of the flight, were meant for internal use, and weren't the "slicked up" versions published by PAO. That has continued through today with Shuttle where the Orbiter Project Office issues the mission reports. |

Hi Dave; I know it is a different item, but you May have some interest in the "Apollo 11 Nominal Mission Summary" that is part of the "Original 1969 Apollo 11 Lunar Trajectory" Notes/manual that I just put up with some other stuff. It is in the description and Table of Contents of this item, #120188718946. Note that this publication is dated two days Before the launch.. |
