Can anybody give me an insight on Stephen Koschal? I am looking to get a signed Apollo 11 signed 8x10-Armstrong,Aldrin and Collins that was verified authentic by him. Any thoughts? Thanks! |

Please post an image of it here. If you are not familiar with how to do that, you may send an image of it to robert at collectspace dot com and he can post it. |

Hi All...Stephen Koschal is or used to be an autograph dealer in south Florida. I have gotten some emails regarding SK. I can only say that I did get an item from him in 1981 that he got from NBC's Jay Barbree.Perhaps his rep was a good one in 1981. I can not speak to what it was like after that. He also gave me Jay's home phone and I spoke to Jay about the item. Jay Barbree is a first class act. I bought that item from an antiques Mall in St. Petersburg , Florida. Perhaps that item was the exception. MY SINCERE APOLOGIES TO ALL. |

A Google search using "stephen koschal uacc" results in a lot of interesting info on this controversial figure. It will be interesting to see the item he authenticated. Bob Mc. |

WOW! I will definitly stay away from this piece. He sounds like he's up there with Donald Frangipani. Thanks for the info! If you want to look at the item, it's inthis month's Coach's Corner Auctions, Lot #31. Please check it out and let me know what you think. |

I've said it many times, and I'll say it again. I stay away from anything even remotely related to Coaches Corner Auctions. There are so many red flags with their items it's impossible to mention them all. The cheap prices alone should be a huge warning.Mike

I have to agree, I've been burned by them as well. I now trend to stick to items certified by PSA/DNA, Global or any other reputable company. |

How come nobody does anything to shut down Coach's Corner? You would think with that much bad stuff, the FBI at least would get involved. |

I prefer PSA or JSA over Global on sports items. They are great for sports items but be careful with their historical items (inc. astronauts), especially if an item has only an auction LOA and not a full LOA. They are probably the best of all the general authenticators, but have been known to be less effective with non-sports items. This forum is by far the best place to go for help with space autographs. |
