Hello, I recently won a lot of Mercury astronaut autographs on Ebay. They all looked authentic to me and I'm thinking of getting them cleaned up and framed with a Mercury 7 photo, but would appeciate everyone's opinion on their authenticity before I go through the expense of getting them framed. The Ebay item # is 7719201665. Many thanks for your time and opinions. Mike Larson |

Hi Mike--Just saw the scans of your ebay lot of original Mercury autographed cards. All the signatures, except one, look fine to me. These are early or vintage signatures from the Project Mercury era of the early 1960s. Your Shepard, in my opinion, is one of his secretarial patterns from that early era as well. Condition wise, from seeing the scans, I really can't tell any precise details, but it appears many of the signed cards are not in the best condition or shape. I hope this helps a little. |

Many thanks for the feedback Ken. The Shepard was the one I was most concerned with. The cards are beat up a little but overall are not as bad as they look. I'll probably send them off to Novaspace once I get a Shepard replacement and see what kind of magic they can work. I also picked up a cut Glenn the other day to round out the set. Thanks again and best regards, Mike Larson |

I though there were a few CS'ers also interested in the autographs. That actually raised my confidence in their authenticity! Mike |
