Maybe some others have already noticed that as well :

There's an increase of messages coming from ebay through their "contact member" form asking :

"I want to buy this or that, please contact me at mosescaine@xxxxxxx as I have problems with my other email account"
(the ebay account holder has contaced me afterwards that she hasn't sent that email - looks like somebody hijacked her account which I believe her)
or
"I want to buy your item (he or she doesn't mention what !), please tell me your last price"

Not sure what kind of scam this is, but most likely some people are trying to get your email address once you reply to them and either use it for spam or do other bad things with it.

I highly recommend not replying to such strange sounding emails therefore !
And I'm not working for ebay >ROFL> when I tell not to agree on a business they suggest outside ebay. (unless you know the sender :-) )

Happy trading

It looks like it's just another variant of the regular spoof eBay email. The novelty is the fact that this time it looks like a message from another eBay member.

I'm sure if you click on the "reply now" link in the message it will send you to a fake eBay login page that will of course send your login and password to the author of the scam.

Definitely worth making people aware of though. Remember that any user names in the fake message are most likely just picked at random. The same as with virus-infected mails the person that is supposedly the sender of the message has nothing to do with it.

Yes - its happening a lot.
Always best to us ethe official site and login through that.

Right mouse button click on the web link usually exposes the scam web address - which looks nothing like the official site.

But,if in doubt - DON'T OPEN IT

All times are CT (US)
