Nope, certainly not an authentic Glenn in my opinion. I would stay away from this one. |

I don't like the signature either. This seller has offered items in the past that has been mentioned on these forums. It looks like it is a private auction also. Screams of something to stay away from.If you are interested in a John Glenn signaute check the resources on this site. Glenn's address is listed. Just send him your own item. Mike |

Hello All...I agree with ALL the above comments. There is a reason it is "private" and I think that reason is obvious. The REAL John Glenn still has beautiful penmanship !!! He signed some items for me recently and they are positively beautiful. Best To All...Don |

Same story again; this time, both Lindbergh and Collins are in no way authentic in my opinion. Stay away from this ebay seller all around. |

We all know Lindbergh was a real easy autograph to obtain in 1974. The seller has some other non-astronaut fakes up for sale. The George Harrison book is one, in my opinion. It's signed somewhat in Harrison's style...his early 60s style that is. It's not a 1980 (or later) signature. The Johnny Cash book is also very suspect, in my opinion. All it takes is a couple of bad apples to spoil the load. Added to the "Collins" and "Glenn" signatures, I would personally consider all of his items as suspect. |

George Harrison would only sign Beatles things "George" in his later years. |

You might be thinking of Ringo. Around 1990, Ringo stopped signing "Starr" and would instead draw a little star symbol after his first name. Most of the George signatures I see from the 80s and 90s are full name. His signature became more "loopy" and squat in later years. Somebody obviously used an early 60s signature as the template for this forgery...and used an atypical one at that. Usually, he had a "stacked" signature style with his last name below his first name. Beatles memorabilia expert Perry Cox has a nice writeup about Beatles signatures in his price guides. One can expect a genuine set of all four signatures on one item to fetch $3000-5000 (for a signed autograph book page) to $10,000++ (for signed albums). The best expert on Beatles autographs is Frank Caiazzo...whom Perry Cox relies on for most of his information. Frank has a nice website here showing signed items he has for sale: http://www.beatlesautographs.com/ For every fake Neil Armstrong on Ebay, there are about 10 fake Beatles on Ebay. It's a scary market out there... [This message has been edited by mjanovec (edited October 11, 2005).] |

Bean doesn't look good to me neither. This guy is something else, huh. Does anyone know him? Why try to fabricate a Bean signature when the 4th moonwalker is quite a good and responsive signer and in autographing for a resonable fee. |
